Seclore for Microsoft 365: Making the Promise of Cloud Security Scalable

Data protection in the cloud has been key to our customers. Seclore has been committed to providing a great experience from activation to the point when users derive value from Seclore.

With Seclore for Microsoft 365, we built some great features over the last two years, extending the promise of data-centric security to SharePoint Online, OneDrive, and Teams. Customers who opt for Seclore for Microsoft 365 need security to spread across these cloud collaboration applications.

However, making the deployment and enablement of Seclore over the cloud more scalable and reliable for users required more attention.

Changing Consumer Expectations

And that’s not an unreasonable expectation.

From the time the CISO recognizes the need for security in their IT infrastructure to when it is successfully installed and configured for users, it often takes several months. It is counter-intuitive that if an organization is a threat of a data breach, they would want to ensure that the proper security controls are in place at the earliest.

The same holds when new vulnerabilities surface, and there are updates to counter them to protect against potential security threats. These updates must be activated at the earliest so that there is no risk of a data breach for enterprises.

Traditionally, these processes are performed manually, resulting in a high chance of an error and a long time to detect and rectify it. It requires a high level of expertise to operate all these processes consistently. As a result, the time to value to customers isn’t optimized.

Industry Trends

Often, the most immediate impact of slow deployment of a security solution is data loss, even with the presence of the cloud.

Simplifying Cloud Security Configuration

Improved reliability: Our customers had to go through complex steps during installation. Now we have automated the configuration.

Scalability: The new process provides the ability to enable security across cloud apps and perform the cloud configurations with consent from the respective IT admins.

Faster resolution: Seclore provides an innovative reporting mechanism to quickly validate if the configuration has been performed successfully and provides a summary. This feature saves hours in identifying where the configuration went wrong in case of any errors.

Quick access to new features: With the changes introduced, customers can instantly access the latest features because installing a new version of Seclore for Microsoft 365 would become much more seamless.

Less dependence on expert resources: With a more straightforward cloud configuration process, it will become easier for someone with a moderate level of expertise to install Seclore for SharePoint Online, Teams, OneDrive, and Outlook.
